| Specification: | It is given in an intravenous dose of 8 to 12 micrograms/min with a terminal half-life of 3 minutes. This catecholamine has prominent beta1 and alpha effects with less beta2-stimulation. NORADRENALINE chiefly stimulates alpha-receptors in the periphery (with more marked alpha effects than epinephrine) and beta receptors in the heart. Logically, it should be of most use when a shock-like state. |
